My Photography Background
I, along with my wife Darla, live in Western Pennsylvania. We have two Dalmatians, Max (the father) and Sam (the son).
The main reason for this web site is to share my passion for Photography with those who care to view it. I first learned to use a 35mm camera in the late 1970's as a high school student, first joining the photo club, then taking pictures for the year book.
My parents bought me a brand new Pentax K1000 with a 50mm lens and that was all I needed to get me started. I soon added a flash, and a few lens' to my outfit and eventualy built a nice little setup.

Looking up the Ohio River
A calm March day. This photo was taken from the shores of Rochester Twp, PA. It's very unusual for the waters of the Ohio river to be this calm. I would like to try this photo during the summer when everything is green, however due to the increased summer river traffic, I don't think I'll be able to recreate the calm effect.
